Passer Ratings

Here we go!  I'll try to keep up with them & post them soon after the Packers game each week, but I can't make any promises.

First off, an explanation of how they figure the passer rating:
Each category (completion percent, yards per attempt, percent touchdowns and percent interceptions) has a factor ranging from 0 to 2.375.
--Completion percent minus 30, then divide the result by 20.
--Yds per attempt minus 3, then divide the result by 4
--TD percent divided by 5
--INT percent divided by 4, then subract that from 2.375
If an individual factor is less than 0 it becomes 0, and if it's above 2.375 it becomes 2.375.
The 4 factors are added, then multiplied by 100 and divided by 6.  This gives the final passer rating.  The formula was created so that a value of 1 for each category (66.7 rating) was average, while a rating of 100 (1.5 per category) would be exceptional.  The maximum sum of the numbers is 9.5 for a maximum passer rating of 158.3.

The following numbers will be Comp Pct; Yds/Att; TD pct; INT pct
For rating of 0: 30; 3; 0; 9.5
For rating of 66.7 ("average"): 50; 7; 5; 5.5
For rating of 100: 60; 9;7.5; 3.5
For perfect rating of 158.3: 77.5; 12.5; 11.75; 0
